The weather could have turned ugly...but luckily the grey clouds didn't release their fury! Today we had our first Vail ride and it was great. We had a big showing from the teacher's in the area and they brought enthusiasm and eagerness to the evening.
The amazing Kelly Magelky, a.k.a. the Thug, wrenched like a pit crew extraordinaire to change pedals and outfit some of the women onto the BMC Shiver. We then rode some fun singletrack and I even got to change a flat...which was great for teaching the gals how to fix those darn buggers. A few ladies even had "break-throughs"!!! Like successfully getting in and out of clipless pedals, which was so cool to see. Megan gave an example on getting behind the saddle that totally helped to awaken their one-ness with the bike. Overall, it was super and I enjoyed riding with our new Vail friends and I hope to see them out on the trails again real soon. Until then keep rockin it, even if the rubber side doesn't always stay down:)
Roll with joy:)
